It has been finalised the action A2 that had the purpose of defining historical silvicultural practices and those currently in use in Sicily. Understanding the different way of interventions, identifying the different types of management approaches it is very important in order to understand those conditions and challenges faced by Local Authorities engaged in managing forests in Sicily.
RESILFORMED seeks to evaluate and define best practices and management approaches aimed at improving the resilience of Sicilian forests to climate change: the understanding of current management models allows to determine and assess which ones need to be pursued and which ones have to be ceased.
The report of the action is resumed in the final report and the set of tools for evaluation can be freely donwloaded in the section Reports of the project under the menu Project documents.
